Promised Delivery Date or Schedule pick up Date automation on Purchase Order

Our Co-Man Sourcing team wants to automate the calculation of Promised date on the purchase order (us the request date to calculate the lead time to come up with the pick up date) and I am wondering if this is possible in JDE? I know that we can automate the delivery date using the Preference hierarchy but that is to calculate the lead time on the Sales order. Can such automation possible on the Procurement ?
