Is it possible to use ASMLib and udev rules together

In order to migrate some database from storage disks for which storage device persistence is managed by udev rules to disks that will be managed by ASMLib, I would like to know whether it is safe/possible to use udev rules and ASMLib together for a certain period of time (time to move datafiles across ASM diskgroups)
