Can we use a Serial Controlled that is also Lot Controlled item in Preventive Maintenance?

in Complex Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul - EBS (MOSC) Question

In Oracle 11i (11.5.10.2). We have an item that is setup as Serial Controlled as well as Lot Controlled and we are unable to add to the PM Activity or the PM Program setup. We are able to enter on a Service Contract and enter a schedule date in the Preventive Maintenance Schedule. However we cannot add it to the the PM Activity or the PM Program setup.
