Inactive & Dead connections issue

Hi all,

Good day .

We are hit with processes issue more frequently . How do we handle the inactive connection from the tools and dead connections from the apps servers . WE have increased the process count but also wanted to fine tune the connection settings on the Grid & oracle users . We are on RAC on Linux 7

Question

1. What parameters needs to be fine tuned for setting the time out and what factors to be considered while setting this . As the database is both read and write intensive .

What parameters affect the inactive /Dead connections
