Purge inactive session concurrent program

Hi

We are in Release 12.1.3. Recently we upgraded our database from 11 to 12c. After upgrade the concurrent program "Purge inactive session" is failing with error ORA-01002: fetch out of sequence. We raised SR and got the patch from oracle and we tested in a test instance and it is working as expected.

Basically my question is, if the patch application is taking weeks/months to be implemented to production. 1) what is the impact if the program is not run for months/weeks?

2) Will there be any performance issue/Space issue?
