Huge lmhb-trace file from ASM

We noticed that the lmhb-trace file from ASM is filling up the filesystem. Looking at support we see that this is caused by bug 26474662. Because this rac-cluster is EOL we are not planning to do any patching and want to know if we can "purge" this trace file by performing the following as a workaround

"echo /dev/null > tracefile"
