Non-stockable items to be later transacted and invoiced

Hi All,

Our customer has some items not own by them, normally stored in an external warehouse controlled by another company. They want to have something similar in Oracle: a place to store these kind of items but without any accounting related to them.

Later they plan to buy those goods and transact them via sales orders+invoice.

Is it possible to have something similar in the system?

We are in R12.1.3.
