Are there any get equipment API in M6 so that I can refer the response to feed in request of create

I actually am in need of sample xmls for create equipment and cable pair API.. if I am not wrong the API is http://IP:PORT/API/com/metasolv/api/workflow/inventory/CreateNewInventoryItem.jpd?.EXPLORE=.TESTXML

However, get equipment API probably may give reference to some fields that needed to be inputted in create equipment so can someone point me to get equipment?
