Linux 7 Virtual Bridge question

Upgrading an Oracle RAC database 12.1.0.2 on Linux 6 , EBS 12.2.3 to Oracle RAC 19.10.0 on Linux 7, EBS 12.2.3

Ran runcluvfy.sh . The first error it fails on is about the virtual bridge. This seems to be a new part of Linux 7. How does the virtual Bridge work with runcluvfy.sh?

It seems that any instance that is now on Linux 7 and has this virtual bridge is really slow. A network check say's the speed is 10Mb. A check of the other servers with out this speed is 10000Mb. What is this bridge doing? How to by pass this speed hinderance?

  1. What is cluvfy checking on the virtual bridge and what is the IP supposed to be if it's not supposed to be the same for both servers? What is it checking.
