Asset Clearing Account is not picked up on Purchase Requisition.

Hi,

I've created an asset item with Asset Clearing Account given in expense account field in purchasing tab of item creation form. But, while creating a Purchase Requisition, instead of picking asset clearing account it is picking up expense charge account. I've tried to alter the settings on item but nothing really has worked. Kindly suggest me a way out of it.
