Applying Out-of-Cycle Database Patches

We have a X8 BM HA 19.9 ODA on a data guard configuration. The database in the ODA is a physical standby.

We are checking the possibility to patch only the database (opatch) to keep in sync with the primary that is running on Exadata. If we follow the instruction of "Applying Out-of-Cycle Database Patches", the DB home will be in a higher patch level than the GRID home.

For example, Database home after patching will be 19.11 and Grid Home (not patched) will remain 19.9.

Is it possible to have DB home patch level higher than the GI Home on an ODA?
