unable to change period of unposted journal from subledger despite unfreezing journal source

We had two unposted journal from Payable in a previous closed period. We wanted to post them into the current period so went to journal sources and unfroze the journal source of Payable. We were then able to successfully edit the accounting period for one of the journals and post it but the other journal continues to not be editable.
