Restoring 2-node RAC cluster to a brand new 2-node RAC cluster

My questions centre on RMAN duplicating/restoring a 2 node RAC database to a new 2-node RAC installation which has never had a database running before.

The source database is also a container database with one pluggable database.

I have been going through oracle support documents (Doc ID 1913937.1 for example) and also other posts by the wider DBA community and unless I am missing something quite obvious (probably), I am struggling a little to put together the steps as there just does not seem to be a best practice/standard approach?

When reading the documents, questions that are springing to my mind are:
