Activating SY37 Quality Management Module

We are interested in leveraging features of the Quality Management Module. Currently this is not activated in PD via P99410. We have activated it in PY to perform a POC and now want some guidance on anything we should be aware of e.g. new processing options appearing, extra columns in std tables etc that may adversely affect performance/behaviours of existing objects.
