Upgrade management agent on OMS server

So, I have been deinstalling 12.1 management agents on all my database servers, then dropping all the monitored targets from OEM and then the host, next I discover the host, deploy the new agent (13.3) and then discover all targets on the host.

My question: will this methodology work on the server that hosts OMS and the repository? Will I be able to use OEM to discover this host? Or is there a better approach?
