Date field greyed out on adjustment journal entry

We on release 12.2.7 and user want to reverse adjustment JE. In order to reverse it, they enter the date in the reverse section then click on reverse button. This field is greyed out for the user but available for other user. Any pointers are helpful. Please advise..

gl_balances has entry for secondary ledger, primary ledger entry was made by other user who entered the date.
