Best Practices for unit of measure changes

Hello,

Im looking for a document that explains the best practices of when a supplier changes their unit of measure of a case from 12 units to 24. It doesnt happen very often and we would like to avoid creating a new product when this occurs.

Is there also an integrity report that validates the quantity on hand and the sum of F4111 that I could use in these cases?
