opatch lsinventory on app tier question

R12.1.3 environment (separate DB and app tier).

I have used opatch lots to check for patches on both the db and app tier and as part of the patching process. It wasn't until today that I was looking to use opatch lsinventory on the app tier so I could maybe use the lsinventory.txt output file with the 'Analyze for Conflicts' feature that I realized I am not seeing where the lsinventory.txt gets generated if it does as in there isn't a 'cfgtoollogs/opatch/lsinv' directory like on the db side.

I mean opatch lsinventory completes ok (OPatch succeeded) and a log file is created but is done differently on the app tier?
