Business Process Updates

Hi,

We are not able to understand the purpose of Business Process Updates which is located in the BP Setup node of a shell. The New button is greyed out and inspite of giving ourselves all the permissions, it remains greyed out.

Unifier help only tell us the action for each button on the menu, but does not tell us how to use this process. How it is different from the BP updates we can do from the templates?
