Next Number Not in Sequence

We observe jumps in Next number assignation for sales orders

The order types are configured in bucket 1 of Next number and set so to follow the same sequence.


what we see is there no sequence followed and there jumps in assigning order numbers. We have started from 1 and currently the next number is 44000+ even though the sum of orders in F4201 and F42019 is only 2000+

Need to know the cause in these jumps in between assigning the next number
