Impact of updating start and end dates for a period in Calendar.

We have a requirement regarding the change in weekly cycle, currently we are setting up 5-4-4 calendar which will be Saturday to Friday cycle but we need to switch to Sunday-Saturday cycle in future without reconfiguring the ledger. We will get to know the exact date of change in future.

We seem to meet the requirement by updating the period start and end dates of the "new" year added to the calendar before saving it and opening those periods.

We wanted to know if Oracle supports this kind of a change and/or are there any implications in the other modules and areas that we need to be aware of and should consider before making a change?
