Why would Smart View shared Connections NOT prompt for the login and password? It does nothing.

Smartview Version 20.100 - Essbase on premise

I have a user that has a relatively large Smartview spreadsheet. Until recently he could open the file and click refresh all worksheets and everything would be fine. He would be already connected and not have to enter his login and password. Now after nothing has changed when he opens the file, he is no longer connected, his menu icon images are missing and when he clicks on Shared Connections nothing happens. I worked with him to try to refresh a single tab, but still there is no prompt to login. He sent me the file
