Default Term Control SF Business Unit

Hello dear community,

When I used the Default term control as Most Current Enrollment Term in the posting setup tab. What is the term it takes? For example if I have a student in multiple career with different terms.

0690-January-July 2021

0700 September-December2021

1200 January-Abril2019

Why would it take the term 1200? Is the maximum term that it takes?

I cannot use SF Term Default because I have multiple terms
