Information Needed on table names that start with XLA_GLT

Hi ,

I need information pertaining to the program "Purge Temporary Journal Import Interface Tables Created By Subledger Accounting". I looked into the code and it is basically dropping objects which start with XLA_GLT% .

I want to understand what these tables are for and what purpose do they serve. will there be any impact on any other Standard base tables of XLA if upon executing the program.
