Apply dbms_shared_pool.purg from an active process

Good day!

I need to apply dbms_shared_pool.purg on a sqlid of an active process, I would like to know and give me your opinion of what would happen, since I am not very clear, this could impact the performance of my database or it would only have an effect on The query to which the flush would be made?
