Porting SOA/OSB applications (SOA/OSB) from 12.2.1.0 to 12.2.1.4 using jdeveloper 12.2.1.4

We have the following 2 applications in Oracle Soa Suite 12.2.1.0

One application contains SOA projects and other contains OSB projects. 

We use Jdeveloper 12.2.1.0 on Mac/windows for developing these projects

We also have pom files for the application, for each of the projects and have an automated deployments using bamboo to our dev/sit/qa/prod unix servers. 

What is the best way to port these SOA/OSB applications (SOA/OSB) from 12.2.1.0 to 12.2.1.4 using jdeveloper 12.2.1.4 ?

I tried : 

Method 1: DOES NOT WORK

When I opened OSB application using Jdev 12.2.1.4, application file (.jws) didn't get updated to have version 12.2.1.4. 

Also I see all the projects with red marks.
