Asset category life change

Hi,

We have assets with an asset category life of 5 years. Asset DPIS is e.g 01-Jan-2021 and in June-21 asset category life is changed from 5 years to 7 years. my depreciation method is STL.

Now I want to calculate depreciation base on netbook value. I tried to amortize and amortize the start date I have given 01-Jun-2021 but the system is calculating depreciation based on asset value, not the net book value. Can anyone suggest how I can achieve this?
