Page and Field Configurator Error: First operand of . is NULL, so cannot access member CompEvent.

Hi guys. I have submitted the following detail to Oracle Support (SR 3-26781708541) and was wondering if any of you have found any suitable work arounds to the problem. Our Oracle Support Analyst indicated that this error is a bug (Bug 32021124) that is slated to be released in PeopleTools 8.59 but we won't be upgrading tools until spring at the earliest. This error happens when you try to submit your PFC definition to build the services and related content items.

After confirming that I have Portal Administrator and have all the required services defined from our Demo environment I still get the following error when I try to Apply Configuration using the Page and Field Configurator.
