Deleting seeded GL Journal WEBADI Layouts

Our accounting team has been using the templates downloaded from seeded layouts. We have now created a custom layout and have asked the team to download fresh templates from the new custom layouts. We are now looking for a solution that will prevent users for using the old template that is already downloaded on their laptops. One way this can be achieve is by deleting the existing seeded layouts that users used to download the templates. System will prevent opening the templates that were downloaded using these layouts. My questions are

1)     Is there any downside of deleting the seeded layouts? We will of course take a copy of the seeded layouts before deleting
