User instructions for Historical Payroll Register R07345
Is there a Doc ID that has user instructions for how to run the Historical Payroll Register? I am most confused with how the Date From and Date To fields are used based on which summary mode is selected.
When I run the report By Pay Period, I understand that the date fields related to the pay period end dates. But when I run it By Quarter and enter dates 01/01 - 03/31, will the report pull records for pay period dates, work dates, or check dates for that date range?? That is where I am unclear.
And, how do I run a historical payroll register for a pay period that crosses the year (e.g., 12/24/20 - 01/06/21) and have all the data show up on one historical register? From our experience we have to run the report twice, once to show the 2020 data and once to show the 2021 data for that pay period.
