Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Dear Experts,

2 node RAC 12.1.0.2.0 and os is RHEL7

is it mandatory to create partition on LUNs for ASM disks.

If yes, what utility you will prefer to use “kpartx” or “fdisk” in Oracle RAC 12c R1 database in order to partition LUNs.

Please give some idea.
