BI Publisher Excel Export Error

We are using BI Publisher 11g (11.1.1.7.160719), Data Source EBS (12.1.3)

BI Publisher Report export in excel is throwing error for a particular date. Removing invoice number column from the report, the report export is working fine for all dates.

The invoice numbers for the concerned date is of huge volume. So manually it is not possible to verify for each data.

Error: "Excel cannot open the file <Report Name.xlsx> because the file format or file extention is not valid. Verify that the file has not been corrupted and the file extension matches the format of the file"

Please help to troubleshoot this.
