apex query not performing well after upgrade

Hi

we have a big-ish query that is using a dblink running in apex that performs well( has a great exec plan ) but after oracle apex or database patch or unix patch the execution plan for this query seems to stop working and the query doesn’t perform well anymore.

Is this a known issue ? what could be affecting it ?
