ASM Filter Driver is not supported

in Database - RAC/Scalability (MOSC) 3 commentsAnswered

I am currently working on installing Grid Infra 19.3 on RHEL 7 server. The following list of packages was installed and created disks using "oracleasm createdisk ASMDISK_01 /dev/sdg1acleasm".

# rpm -qa | grep oracle

- oracleasmlib-2.0.12-1.el7.x86_64

- kmod-oracleasm-2.0.8-28.el7.x86_64

- oracleasm-support-2.1.11-2.el7.x86_64

I received "INS-41223 ASM Filter Driver is not supported on this platform" when I chose "Configure Oracle ASM Filter Driver".

Can you explain the difference between ASMLIB vs ASM Filter Driver? Do I need to uncheck to complete the gridSetup? Is it possible to install ASM Filter Driver later time?
