Manage Applicants page showing incorrect last updated by User ID

We've recently discovered that when an applicant has multiple applications and is in a disposition of "APPLIED" on those job openings but is then updated to disposition = HIRED (or processed through Manage Hires) the system updates the "Applicant Activity" page to show "last updated by" with a date/time stamp (and USER ID) of when their disposition was updated to "hired" on the unrelated job opening.

This overwrites the actual date/timestamp of the applicant and poses a significant audit risk.

Has anyone else run into this?
