WLS Memory settings for oacore_server#

in Technology Stack - EBS (MOSC) Question

We have 4 oacore_servers. From one SR, we were directed to update the memory settings to -Xms8192m -Xmx8192m

Now I have another SR open due StuckTreads and the analyst is telling me that having memory settings greater than 4GB is a bad practice.

If I reduce the memory, I am guessing I will need to start multiple other oacore_servers. What is considered the best practice for the oacore_server memory settings? Why would 8GB be considered a "bad practice"?
