Linux kernel update and ASM

Do Oracle's Automatic Storage Management (ASM) modules need to have synchronized updates when the Linux kernel is updated?

What are the chances of single instance infra ASM (19c) running on RHEL 7 may have issues whenever kernel patches or updates are applied in the future?

Is there a future risk of serious issues as far as the working of ASM is considered?

I am in the initial stages of setting up an environment. Could you please provide your insight on this issue? Are there any best practices?
