Cost Allocation Flexfields

We currently only use/display 3 segments in the Costing side of the Cost Allocation Flexfield in 12.2 and want to make use of 2 more segments (Product and Sales Channel) but I'm really struggling to work out how to get these to display for use in Element Links, Element Entries and anywhere else we might need!  Any advice appreciated.
They are setup in the flexfield structure but it's just a case of getting them to appear so that we can start using them!
