Using a VM with Oracle Database in Google Cloud

Hello.

I do not know if this is the right place to ask, so forgive me if it is not.

I work in a company that is Oracle partner, and we have a JDE environment for training and testing, where our consultants can test everything they need. We used to have a few VMs for the servers, and a few that they could access by Remote Access. However, in past months we had two ramsomware attacks, and the hackers blocked all of our VMs.

We decided to put all the VMs on a cloud environment, but we were warned that Oracle Database not working in a cloud that is not from Oracle (we are negociating with Google Cloud, as we already have our corporate email in there). I did not understand that, because we are not installing the database in the cloud, we are going to just storing the VMs. Anyway, I would like to ask if, even we put the VM with the database installed, it could not work in the Google Cloud.

Howdy, Stranger!
