Disaster Recovery of ODA, Install the complete System on a VM

Hallo!

I'm developing actually a concept for disater recovery of our Bare Metal ODA X7-2 Small.
For testing issues I want to install the whole System Linux OS, DB's, Tomcat, ORDS and so on on a VM.
I red a lot of articels, but I'm not shure which is the best way!

I think first I should prepare the Linux OS on the VM as an exact copy of my OS on the ODA? For that I need for example partions like /u02 and /u03 on the VM.
I think I need an exactly copy of the /opt partion?
