Function of new option in Enrollment Shopping Cart Setup

Our institution is on Student Records 9.2, Image 21 applied, PeopleTools version 8.57.22.  There a new option on the Enrollment Shopping Cart Setup page at Set Up SACR>Common Definitions>Self Service>Student Records.  Check Allow Validation check box and there is a new Option for Enrollment Holds with radio buttons for Success and Potential Error.  I'm hoping this means that the validation process can now check for enrollment holds but cannot find a definition in PeopleBooks.
