OLVM - VM Guest not able to upload iso to mapped storage

I have followed note: OLVM: Uploading Images to Data Domain fails with Error "Connection to ovirt-imageio-proxy service has failed" ( Doc ID 2533406.1 ). Which basically runs through the checks:

1> is the ovirt-imageip-proxy up? (yes it is)

2> have uploaded the cert toyou browser? (yes).

-- i have checked the firewall and ports 5900 (virt-viewer) and 6100 (noVnc) are open (OLVM and KVM).

-- I have increased the timeouts to 3 mins (just a shot).

-- when I try a  curl to the url (https://<kvm-fqdb>:54323, I get a 'no handler error'.

finally a timeout occurs on virt-viewer.

Far as I can tell  from the engine.log, I see the session and look like no issues/errors.
