Modifying Asset Location KFF

hI

We have a customer in whose instance FA implentation started many years ago, but didnt go thru. There are no assets in the system nor books.  However, KFFs got defined.

The current Location KFF is of 6 segments. We want it to be now 3 fields as we started implementing the FA books now.

Please advise if there will be any issue if we modify the KFF, please note that there are no books nor assets as of now in the system
