Grid Infrastructure installation window has unreadable characters

Hi,
I am attempting a first installation of grid on a Linux 7.5 server.
When I execute ./gridSetup, the "installation screen" is presented but contains unreadable characters as per the attachment.

I thought this is likely due to a missing package, but I have installed the "pre requisite" packages as per the link below...

I'm at a loss now as to what is the most likely cause of this issue.
