Get Max GridRow SystemFunction not pulling all grid records when"disablepageatatime"process disabled

Hi,
In the Sales order application form design aid when the option "DIsable page at a time processing" not enabled, Get max grid row system function doesn't return all the grid records.
Please suggest if we have any other option to pull all the grid record with out enabling "Disable Page at a time processing".
