Migrate RAC database to standalone

Hi all,

Plan to setup development server.
Source :
DB : Oracle 12cR1 running on 2 nodes RAC
OS : Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.5 (Santiago)

Target : Oracle 12cR1 standalone 
OS : Prefer same OS or can put other OS

Plan to do RMAN backup and restore. Any prefer method ?
