I need the MOSC doc for creating an Oracle DB (12.2) on a Guest Vm

My question revolves around storage really. I have some iSCSI storage for both a standard FS and for ASM.  Although attached to my Guest VM, I can't see it. So do I need to go to /dev and fdisk it and then mount it?
