Call New Archive and Purge - how to purge misc. receipts

We have Call New Archive and Purge concurrent program to run in order to purge transactions but according to Doc ID 1073185.1 it is not purging miscellaneous receipts. What are my options if I use Call New Archive and Purge  but also need to purge misc. receipts with the same gl_date criteria - is it only custom program, calling API  etc.   What are my choices ?? If Call New Archive and Purge  program is used - there is almost always need to purge misc. receipts as well, surprised that this 'New' concurrent program is so limited...
