Oracle Property Manager (EBS 12.2.9)-Lease amendment for IFRS16 Compliance

When using the Amendment function to update the lease for compliance with IFRS16 ( adding index rate, accounting method, ROU Flag, Liability flag,terms) what should be the Amendment "Commencement Date ? 
Should it be the same as the Lease Commencemnt or should it be the current date/transition date? 
Does the choice of dates affect the ROU/Liability balances and accruals??
