Single node to multi node in 12.2.10

Hi
i have a single node ebs 12.2 install, that is database and apps tier on a single node.
It has come to a point where I need to make it a multi node system, at least where the database and apps tiers sit on different hosts.
I have tried a couple of things but landed up with a broken install.
any body know how to do so ?
